The Sea-Stetting Colony
The founder of Facebook bought a marina in california because he wanted to build an offshore colony. He didn't know that the majority of marinas don't own the water or land they're built on and are owned by the government. The risk is if the government doesn't like this the u.s. Government can shut down my access, so how do I prevent them from shutting down my access? That's a great example of knowing where the risks are and going Okay, like I haven't built this offshore island yet or community that I want to build though.
