The Structure of the Confessions
The confessions is divided into 13 books. People often refer to them as chapters that's not actually correct the entire work is divided into books which are further divided into chapters and sections. In book 10 Augustine says he's no longer talking about what he was, but what he is. And really he spends books 11 and 12 just on the first two verses of Genesis chapter one. He picks up the pace quite a bit in book 13.
