Is There Something Fundamental About Predictions?
There could be a sense in which, yhe there is, there is something fundamental. James suggest that we may not find it, or there may not be such a thing. One can imagine that there is a kind of fundamental simplicity which is where all things spring from. But isn't it the case? Most people would agree that even if that were the case, you would not ever be able to get intoto position where you could predict and explain all the properties of what springs from th higher levels of organization.
