The Barossa project is one of the nation's biggest oil and gas projects in almost a decade. The development will see gas processed in Darwin bringing 600 jobs to the topic. Santos has been highlighted for not properly consulting with Indigenous groups on the Tiwi Islands. And it's had various problems getting funding, particularly from funders who are worried about surprise, its climate impacts.
