Is the US Energy Independent?
Is the US now energy independent or does it still rely on these oil making states around the world in the Middle East? I mean, there's a lot of people at the time who said the only reason we're going into Iraq in 2003 is to secure the oil and make money off Iraq. But since then, like you said, there has been this global shift. And so does the USC lesser the need to interfere in the affairs of the Middle East because it has this increase in supply of domestic energy?
