The Limits of Liberalism
LZ Granderson: One of the great attributes of liberalism is that you can't judge people as representatives of a category. LZ: Kings, emperors, communists, lots of group fascists, obviously Nazis, all thought in this very tribal, very natural way of thinking about society. He says it's basically the logic of identity politics where you digitize and commodify people by these abstract categorical attributes.
