The Three Stages of Initiation

When we frame it as a tale of initiation, it makes sense that it comes in three parts. I realized that the experience of time is very different in each of the three zones. In the inferno, there's no present. There's people are either lost in the past or terrified of the future. And then in the purgatorio, the present starts to show up. That means that change becomes possible because it's only when you have a sense of the possibility of now that it's its own thing.
