The Spectrum of Teaching Styles
i went to the 2009 atchbury international conference in Brisbane and sarah ashworth was one of the keynotes. i got to understand it a little bit more and then brandon sousie offered that challenge on what a game-based approach is and is not. We started to write about a non versus approach to pedagogy fundamental to the spectrum of teaching styles is that no teaching style is of itself wrong, only applied wrongly so it's mismatched to the learning intention. From a from a teaching perspective command style pedagogy is not bad or wrong it's only wrongly used reciprocal coaching or peer coaching is not bad it's only wrongly applied by the coach.
