The Anterior Sciatic Nerve Block

Anterior approach to the sciatic nerve is like a neuraxial block. We recommend waiting four to six hours after the dose of heparin before doing the block and then at least an hour after the block before giving a dose of Heparin. If someone on Lovanox let's say they're on the unusual 40 milligrams daily of Lovanox for prophylaxis we would wait I believe 12 hours is that right? That's right. Great. Any special contraindications is this a deep block for the purpose of anti-quagulation? Yeah I don't consider this one a major gray area this this one I think almost everybody would say this
