CMS Proposed Rule Would Require Nursing Homes to Disclose Ownership and Management of Their Facilities

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services released a proposed rule on Monday that would require nursing homes to disclose whether they're owned or operated by private equity groups or real estate investment trusts. The announcement yielded a mix of responses from the long-term care industry. CMS is accepting public comments on the proposed rule through April 14th.
