Dopamine Neurochemistry Is a Big Problem in Our Economy
Our economy is steered entirely by the financial system and billionaires and politicians right now are in thrall to the market system. Within that system, we have products that individually we purchase. And those products give us a combination of super normal stimuli like playing a game on our phones or playing an over watch. The problem there isn't just the ephemeral microliters of dopamine that's wasted. The problem is that especially with young people we get more and more limbically hijacked by short term stimulation. Our attention spans getting shorter and shorter as our dopamine neurochemistry gets more hijacked.
