Are We Going to See a Russian Retort?
I don't think this whole announcement is one big faint and a mascot of good to use that much maligned and overused Russian term, I think it is most likely a genuine retreat. And I cannot see the Russians wanting to do this without extracting as much cost from the Ukrainians as possible. The bigger question is what happens elsewhere on the front? Once the Russians have pulled back, this front line is going to be pretty static because putting a landing either side crossing that river isGoing to be a very tall order. So we will expect combat to move, maneuver combat to move eastwards.
