Early interest in male and female brains was based on the idea that there were differences between them. But after a long struggle to realise this, he realised it wasn't very good research. He then became more involved in other areas of interest such as dyslexia and autism. And so I got drawn back into looking at females' brains from a critical neuroscience perspective.
