There is not a single David Lynch Mel Brooks anecdote that is not priceless and make you want to cry. The idea that Mel Brooks sat in a screening room and watched a racer head and said, who is that? I want that guy is just tremendously powerful. So it's wonderful. And the fact that he wouldn't put his name on it as a producer because he didn't want people to think it was somehow Mel Brooks making a sick parody of the elephant man.
