If people have episodes of vertigo or dizziness, they typically last seconds, minutes or up to a couple of hours. But it's actually gets progressively less likely to be part of one of these intermittent disorders like the stibular migrane or miner's disease as the time duration gets longer and longer. Once you get to 24 hours, pretty much most of those diseases don't cause persistent symptoms for those long.
