The History of Snake Oil

In ancient chinese traditional medicine they used water snakes or oil from water snakes as a treatment for joint pain. The first printed use of snake oil appears in the early 1700s but again with examples from you know ancient historian ancient uh roman historian Pliny the elder we have examples dating as far back as the early to mid 1600s referring to specific combinations of Snake juice.
