How to Make Commercial Vinegar

Vinegar comes from a French word vin agre that means sour wine and you can make vinegar from pretty much anything you can ferment. It's initially yeast will ferment any of the food sugars and any of those products I mentioned to alcohol but then what they do is they add bacteria it's called acetic acid bacteria that converts the alcohol to all things acetic acid. Commercial vinegar is made by either a fast or a slow fermentation process. A lot of manufacturers of vinegars will filter and pasteurize the final vinegar product before bottling it because a lot of people don't like that gooey booger like substance in their vinegar.
