The Supreme Court's Oversight of the Clean Air Act
The Supreme Court ruled that the EPA had overstepped its authority. The agency was supposed to set standards for certain kinds of pollution and then come up with a best way to reduce emissions. But in this case, it wanted to make what were called like generational shifts in the way power plants operating. "It isn't their job to decide whether agencies have overstepped the authority given to them by congress," he says.
