The criticisms eventually made their way to Jeremy Weisner, president of MIT. His office was within weeks inundated with letters of complaint and calls for the team's dismissal. Dana later described how as the critiques rolled in, the team took to sketching the connections and feedbacks across the walls in the lab. The scientists used the economists to bolster their case, which in turn gave credence to the economists whether or not they'd read or understood their work.
