The Power of Alternative History

The images, even for me now, have a kind of emotional power to them. And I hope they did back then. Una Garlic was the great New Zealand modernist photographer. Every country has its traditions and every country has sort of parallel developments in the history of photography. It's just not a history that we're taught.
