The Comparative Richness of Subject Heading Critiques
The Tennessee state constitution says that the doctrine of non resistance against arbitrary power is slavish absurd. Critiques of classifications like these are less common than those that address bias and cataloging, or the selection and assigning of a subject heading language. Subject headings are the controlled terms that bring the classification structure to the public. They are the terms users see when they navigate our catalog, and the terms our users click on to co-illate materials in our collections.
