The Homeric Sylla on a Eutruscan Box
The homeric sylla does not resemble anything that we wouldn't imagine to be real. It reminds me of typhon and like the hecaton cires, how they're never depicted as a main stream thing in ancient iconography. In the odyssey text, it's such a memorable scene for a lot of reasons, but it always strikes me as something out of a horror film.
