Corporations don't want to pay the taxes that fund generous, high quality public services such as a child care or education. So there's a constant chiseling away at this. And it can go so far, under certain conditions, that you actually endange society's capacity to reproduce itself in this human social sense. This is a case of of just eating into the bone of something.
