Naming Functions as Characters

Personality type isn't just about understanding differences between people—it's a development roadmap for individuation and shadow work. Jung identified four fundamental ways the mind operates: sensing and intuition (perceiving), thinking and feeling (judging). Each can be used in an introverted or extraverted orientation, giving us eight cognitive functions. Your particular combination of these functions forms your psychological type and reveals your specific pathway for development.
