I believe in a curriculum. Why do kids stop being interested in mat? That's a very complicated question. And the wonderful thing when you help five and six year olds with math is that they haven't learnt to be afraid of it yet. I've got good news and bad news. If you're just teaching them to count, that's ok. We can teach children how to count. But once it gets a little bit more complicated than that, it can very quickly get to a point where adults who don't like math that much themselves start feeling uncomfortable.
