The Importance of Segregation in Poverty
A lot of us have built walls around our communities, and we've ordered opportunities behind those walls. There may be no more soulless phrase in the English language than municipal zoning ordinance. You know, on most residential land, you can only build a single detached family home. And that concentrates affluence, but it also concentrates poverty. It's the side effect of our stockpiled opportunity,. We do have to fight for more open, inclusive communities, more choice.
