The Myth of Autistic People
Autistic people only have deficits compared to neurotypical people, and we are intellectually disabled. We express it in ways that are harder to recognise, or we have trouble expressing it. It does not mean that we aren't experiencing the compassion or the empathy. Next myth to bust: Autistic people don't experience emotions on levels a lot of people don't. And you can really add to this myth, honestly, the way the medical profession actually diagnoses it.
