What Are You Looking for When You Hire a CFO?
Lyft's COO has been pretty economically prudent from the early days including with door-dashing. He didn't do any ride sharing stuff right because there's a question of how big network effect is there. You want somebody who's ambitious risk taking having potential upside and for sure there's going to be potential downside as well in some ways. If you're actually not taking enough risk on the value creating side it means you're missing out on these types of roles where you're being too conservative, he says.
