I think working remotely has been a part of music making for a pretty long time. I remember doing the Game of Thrones theme song, episode of song Exploder and the composer Ramin Johari was talking about recording with a choir in Prague. He had to just sort of tune in from Los Angeles and give notes and direct essentially remotely. So I didn't find that people changed the way that they talked about working. You know, it was more of a reflection of the human experience of being isolated.
We talk to musician, composer, podcaster, and creative powerhouse Hrishikesh Hirway on how to trust our instincts, the fine line between garbage and good ideas, the magic of creative partnership, and the ways remote work can actually help us stay inspired.
