Made in China 2025: A New Industrial Policy

In 2015, the Chinese government announced its new industrial policy called Made in China 2025. Peter Bergen: To China watchers, there was something different about this version of Chinese industrial policy. He says it looked like premeditated import substitution driven by subsidies. Bergen: The other thing that's new is that the new leadership appeared to be resolved to put very large amounts of money behind this.
