Deutsche Bank's Settlement of Jane Doe 1

The case of Jane Doe 1 was heading for trial in September, but Deutsche Bank agreed to settle the case for $75 million. By settling, it means an admission that the bank made mistakes. The settlement comes on top of a fine of $150 million that Deutsche Bank paid in 2020 to US regulators for its failings over Epstein. Dozens of survivors will each get $75,000, but they will also be able to make further claims to get more from that $75 million pot. Some women may get upwards of $5 million.
