India Needs to Develop an Indigenous Jet Engine

In the next five, six years, you will have a flying AMCA. The only question is what engine will it use? We could even turn to Russia for engines, but even then we will be dependent on the Russians. That is a critical dependence that essentially puts you at somebody else's mercy. India needs to develop, design and construct its own indigenous jet engine.
