The Gospel Connects and Confronts Every Culture

The key, the key thing and this is influenced very much by Hermann Baddick's nephew a missiologist called JH Baddick who I think is my favorite authors. My life's work is just to try and popularize and making more accessible is this idea that the gospel always both connects and confronts with every culture. And so as Paul wonders around Athens, looking at the objects of worship and says people of Athens are very religious, it is a recognition that we all have an object of love we're all worshiping something. So our job is to make sure we're not following idols and we'll be magnetized by Christ.
