Introduction

The purpose of biological evolution is to sustain genes over time. Its a survival of the fittest gens in a very real sense. And so the earth is not going to sustain organisms, a collections of genes. It was only human knowledge that made the planet even marginally habitable by humans. We will see this wis me speaking as we proceed through the book.
