The History of Japanese Tea

In the 18 sixties and particularly the 18 seventies, japanese tea takes advantage of growing anti chinese sentiment in the united states. Next period then, is starting in the 18 nineties, when you have the indian ceylon lobby come and bring in advertisements which were very racially chargedor also attacking both not only chinese tea, but japanese green tea as being dangerous, dirty and dulenta. One factor that is at play are these feelings of a zenophobia, races, you know, tensions between countries.
