The average secular american looks at healing miracles as something unique and something taking place only in the religious realm. The romans didn't want inter into relationship with jesus, so they didn't think of the miracle as having any relevance to them. Your your friend is imputing to a secularist a viewpoint which the secular would hardly have. And i think tha that only indicates that your friend is not himself seeing clearly the difference between a religious commitment and a secular perspective. Yes, we'll pass on to our next question.
