Is the Compression of Time a Part of the Story Set in the Early 20th Century?

i wonder if the urge to write about that and to engage with that story comes, in a sense, from this sort of compression of time that occurs as we, as we get older? Ye. I think also probably just em the sort of the progression of life, sort of getting older, maybe having kids as well, really changes your your perception of things that happened before you were born too. And i wonder, so you said that e sort of the er, the part of the story set in the early twentieth century, was inspired by your great grandfather, yesad.
