The Politics of the Internet

In elections, parties are now able to target their voters with a huge variety of messages. The european commission has just proposed a regulation on an an election publicity register. i think we need to come back to the very simple principle which has served us well in the pre digital and pre internet age: primacy of democratic politics over technology and business interests.
