There was apparently huge amounts of open space where you can't hide. So basically, Putin could have just kept them outside of Moscow and then picked them all off from the air with no real risk. I mean, he'd lose some assets, but he'd certainly get it done. But what it looks like at the moment is that there was never any risk. And I heard the number of troops that Wagner had to attack Moscow. It would be something like, I don't know, 1% of what you would need.
