I was conscious of privilege. I will say that it was unashamedly or unabashedly or undeniably privileged. My father was not one of the richest or at all the richest of our circle of friends who were very, very privileged. But certainly in comparison to those who had nothing, we were doing well. A bit crass, but it would be like 1930s Poland. Do you know what? I mean, to be frank, yes. And again, it took me a while to understand that what we were doing in Bosnia was actually covering and witnessing for ourselves the very thing that we learned in our history books.
