What's Happening in Korea?
colonial rule in general just becomes much more violent. There's mass conscription of crene soldiers and laborers. About 600 thousand people are a shipped to japan as force workers. A over a hundred thousand people are conscripted into the imperial army. And a what's become known as a the comfort women system. Involves a 200 thousand women or so being more or less kidnapped or coerced through other means, a to be placed into a system of sexual slavery that served japanese soldiers throughout the empire.
