Are There Any Universal Elements at the Core of All Conflicts?

Many conflicts come down to a disagreement or a threat around needs, values, interests and identity. I'm running these experiences called master classes in the art of gathering where i gather together 50 or a hundred or 250 people who are all part of some community. For an hour i cind of build community among them, and then for an hour i reverse engineer the process. And one woman shared this example that in college she was part of a feminist group. The women democrats basically said, you can't be a republican and a feminist. It's a paradox, is an anomaly, and there is this huge conflict.
