The Moonraker by Christopher Wood
Mankovitz submitted treatment number two, which was edging much more towards the Moonraker that we ultimately got. Broccoli gave it a tick and handed the job of writing the full screenplay to the film to Christopher Wood. Dick Clement and Ian Lefrennay were brought in as screenwriting duo by Sean Connery who regularly used them for his films. On 10th May 1978 came the announcement Moonraker was officially going to be the 11th James Bond movie.
