The Basics of the Electromagnetic Spectrum
The electromagnetic spectrum simply describes the range of possible frequencies, or wavelengths, of photons. Radios have the longest wavelength, radio waves are not quite as long, but still pretty long. These include wavelengths from many kilometers down to around about a meter for microwaves.
