The Importance of Quality of Difference in the Civil Service
The civil service at a particularly kind of hyper political moment as we tip into the next election there is also a slight qualitative difference as well isn't there with the new generation of politicians. Civil servants were attacked by Blair by Thatcher absolutely right and yet there is a slightly conspiratorial sort of ankle deep conspiratorial language that is used against them. It'll be really interesting to see where the next year of the Sunak government goes because I think Johnson Johnson's government was a government that failed in all sorts of ways.
