War reporters, war correspondents, did they know that they could be used in that roll? Did some of them relish that? Did they go a little bit native? Have an alliance and allegiance to the services in which they were posted to? Ain't very much. And i think is is at one of the things that actually happens. Part of what's going on is this rivalry between the services. And they are trying to court allegiance reporters. But they all deal with it in their own sot idiosyncratic ways.
