How to Be a Neurodivergent Person
Onus is put on neurotypical people to change ourselves. And that's called masking. It's exhausting. I communicate very clearly that I have neurodivergence and what my needs are. However, that's not necessarily always an option for everyone. They don't have the psychological safety. So advocating for yourself if you're able to is important. But also giving everyone the opportunity, whether you're neurodivergent or neurotypical, to be different,. To all talk about all of your communication styles...I think that's the key to making it work without putting somebody in that unsafe position of revealing themselves.
