The Way a Child Learns to Understand a New Language
Human beings also have a fair number of hardwired reactions and releasing mechanisms. So it can sometimes appear to be the construction of knowledge, but it's not. It's just a reordering at times of knowledge that's already there in the genes. The way a child learns language no doubt contains some analogs of what happens in other animals,. But the fact we learn language is unique as well.
