There's definitely a certain sense of like what do I do for living again because when you go in on that first day you know all the stuff that you learn on the last record with some other artists is sort of irrelevant. Despite all those conversations you have before and all the things you talk about it really comes down to whether what's coming out of the speakers that day is moving you. And so if it's doing anything short of that I think maybe the skills that one has as a producer is like being able to identify why it's not. What is it made to hear better?
