There's a lot of controversy about strauss's politics. We know that in the way he lived his life, he was personally very conservative,. He was not any kind of bo vavant or hedonist in any way. You know, lived within very limited means, and seemed completely content to do so. Like socrates in a way. I have heard from people that he was fairly republican and conservative, and that he was a liberal democrat. i don't know what to believe.
